Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
Some reporters feel it’s “not so cheap these days”, but this authentic fixture – part of a small northern empire – still draws the crowds with some of the “best fish ’n’ chips in Yorkshire”.
“Really fresh fish” ('n' chips) served in “lovely decent portions” is the winning formula at this long-standing family favourite; better still, “the service is old-fashioned Yorkshire – no-one will be asking you to ‘have a nice day’!”
“Like stepping back to the '50s” – a “longstanding favourite”, offering some of the “best fish in the county”, and proper “Yorkshire service” too; their other chippy on Elland Road is also “well worth the queue”.
“More so than Betty’s… this is THE must-visit eatery on any trip to Harrogate!”; this notably superior chippy is hailed for offering “some of the very best fish and chips” in the region (plus “more sophisticated” options too).
