Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Get there when they open or queue!” if you visit Mitch Tonks’s upscale riverside chippie (the original of a growing chain) – “a very different fish ’n’ chip restaurant, with all the normal options, plus a large selection of different fish (that can be grilled or pan-fried), plus as many chips as you can eat”. What’s more “children get real meals, not the usual bog-standard choices”.
Mitch Tonks’s “very buzzy” riverside venture, now with a Plymouth sibling, offers “fish ’n’ chips to die for” (and at “reasonable” prices too) from a “wonderful selection” of options.
Mitch Tonks’s “relaxed” riverside fish ’n’ chip joint (with “boats passing close by and the smell of the sea”) certainly “sells on location”, and child-friendliness too (“amazing kids packs”); everyone says the scoff is “excellent”, too; (now in Plymouth also).

"Rick Stein: this is how it should be done! Very fresh fish could with an eye on what's modern and interesting. Great value too and they look after kids nicely."
