2012 Review: Chris Bell is a “master chef” and many “beautifully crafted” meals are reported from the cottage-restaurant where leading North Western light, Paul Heathcote originally came to fame; off-days, however, are not unknown, and the kitchen can give the impression of “trying too hard”.
