La Brasserie

£48

The Survey ResultDiary

“London’s most authentic Parisian brasserie” is – say fans – simply “humming” since the installation of its “impressive” new bar; for critics, though, the fare on offer at this South Kensington fixture is not just “massively overpriced”, but “rubbish” too!

  • Sunday Times Michael Winner (17th July 2007)

Mr Winner finally makes it to La Brasserie. “It’s a very bustling, atmospheric place genuinely in the style of a real French brasserie. There are globe lights, fans twirling from the ceiling, French posters on the wall, waiters that look like they’ve served in Montmartre for 40 years”. A “superb“ onion soup is the highlight of a meal that’s generally in keeping.
