Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“A boon if you’ve got a young family, but adults are well-catered-for too!” – Paul Merrett’s “lovely”, large gastropub is “hidden away in residential Sheen, near Richmond Park”; “kids get to run around in the enclosed garden” (with playground), while others enjoy the “high quality” cooking.
Not far from Richmond Park, Paul Merrett’s large hostelry – with a spacious conservatory and a “lovely garden in summer”, complete with playground – makes a natural weekend destination; dependable food too, including a BBQ in summer.
Handy for Richmond Park, a big and “friendly” East Sheen gastroboozer, where the “imaginative” and “very appealing” dishes are realised “with a sophistication worthy of pricier establishments”.
Situated just a few minutes' walk from Richmond Park The Victoria offers something for everyone – stylish modern bedrooms, critically acclaimed modern British food in the dining room and a well-stocked pub bar; that boasts a fantastic wine list with over 25 wines by the glass as well as a leafy garden complete with a play area for the kids.
Whether you are thinking of coming to eat, drink or stay the night we will make sure that your visit is an occasion to remember.
We have a small car park for patrons and hotel guests. However, the nearest overground train station is Mortlake; which is a 10 minute walk; boasting a regular timetable into the City. We are also serviced by other public transportation a mere 5 minute walk from our door.
The Victoria Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Excellent food and service with a great relaxed atmosphere. The Hake and Skordalia Potatoes were fantastic"
"Have visited this gastro-pub on several occasions and sadly have to report that each time the experience seems to decline a little further. Service has become lazy and inattentive. Portions on the last visit were decidedly meagre and poor value. Presentation of the steak was more like I would expect in a cheap cafe than an expensive pub."
"All quite good but not good enough for the price"
