2023 Review: “With outside seats looking over the coast or sitting inside looking through the windows, you get fabulous views” at this well-known inn, perched on the cliffs. “The food is generous and generally good” (for example “delicious Cullen skink, fabulous mussels, crab rolls and generous fish ’n’ chips with perfect hake”).

This “cosy restaurant with welcoming staff”, next to the 12th-century kirk of St Nicholas, has done sterling service for two decades “serving great food with the emphasis on fish”. Chef Brian McLeish, a MasterChef finalist in 2014, presides over a well-thought-out menu that runs from two to four courses.
