Abstract – Inverness

The Cabinet – Reed, Nr Royston, Hertfordshire

With the help of head chef Paul Macguire, new owners Simon Smith and Mark Hagger have managed to maintain the excellent standards of food and great service expected by local fans of this stunningly converted 16th-century inn.

Forbury's – Reading

Chef José Cau and fellow patron Xavier Le-Bellego are used to winning accolades, having spent time at The Waterside Inn at Bray and Le Gavroche respectively. This winning combination has led to an innovating menu, delivered with flair, earning Forbury’s a reputation as a real Thames Valley gem.

Russel's – Broadway, Worcestershire
