The Nobu group – in the news quite a lot at the moment – stands accused of selling one of the most notoriously endangered fish species.

All three current Nobu operations in London have been named by Greenpeace for selling Bluefin tuna, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Nobu’s menus do not state what species of tuna is used (which is itself rather unusual, in an upmarket establishment), and the restaurant has consistently declined to comment on the matter. So much for transparency in sourcing.

PS (23 September) The Daily Telegraph reports that the Nobu group will now to mark Bluefin tuna dishes on its menus.
