Ex-Greenhouse (and, er, Noisette, RIP) chef Bjorn van der Horst is to open the long-awaited Eastside Inn in May, reports

And it doesn’t look as if van der Horst is allowing the recession to blow him off course. One side of Farringdon’s former Vic Naylor’s site, as earlier announced, will be devoted to fine dining (with an estimated spend of around £90/head). There will be a larger bistro operation too, however, where costs are estimated to come in at around £30/head.
