“Outstanding, simply cooked fresh fish” features in all feedback on the Stacey family’s bright, relaxed restaurant (est. 1993), where you can eat the catch landed at Brixham downstairs – specials are listed on various blackboards – or pair one of 95 wines with oysters upstairs.
“Brilliant for fish-lovers” – the Stacey family’s “warm and casual” (but rather unsung) operation (with a wine bar upstairs) has served up the pick of Tor Bay’s seafood (most of it landed at Brixham harbour at the other end of the bay) for 25 years. Daily specials are listed on a “series of blackboards, with a separate board advertising tempura, and a tray of fish samples is also brought round”.
High marks again for this family-run harbour-view fish bistro, where the specials of the day are written up on a series of blackboards.
For an “amazing fish dinner” based on “top-notch” ingredients, this well-established harbour-view restaurant is just the ticket; even those who had “a long way to go” felt that it was “worth every mile”.
