Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“I don’t even like pizza and I think this place is superb!!” Fans hail some of “the best pizza in the UK” at this “most basic” of industrial-look venues in “not the most salubrious of areas”. “Lovely soft Neapolitan pizza” (“great digestible properly cooked bases and quality ingredients on top”) is sold at a “fantastic price” and it’s single-handedly “helping revitalise the Ancoats area of Manchester”. “The secret is out so expect a wait (although you can go to a nearby pub and they’ll call you)”.
“Five minutes’ walk north of the Northern Quarter (where parking’s quite easy)”, this “minimalist”, “industria-concrete” yearling – an erstwhile pop-up run by a graduate of local pizza heroes Honest Crust – “has got it absolutely right”, with its simple but winning formula of “authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas married with local beer”.
