Harden's says

With the passing of Joel Robuchon and closure of Covent Garden’s L’Atelier du Robuchon (RIP), this newish (late 2019) Mayfair venture is the main London torch-bearer for this famous French gastronomic name (see also ‘Le Deli Robuchon’ on Piccadilly, but it’s of no great culinary ambition). The dining room – with a gorgeous marble bar running down one side, and tables with banquette seating down the other – looks very fine and grand. The luxurious, modern French dishes are of high quality, with many echoes of L’Atelier (but, perhaps, a little simpler and less expensive).

With its marble bar and banquette seating, this gracious venue (which opened in late 2019) near Shepherd Market is the London flagship for the late Joel Robuchon’s global luxury restaurant chain (Robuchon International). It inspires curiously little feedback for its luxurious, rather safe, modern French cuisine (‘Le Burger’, £36; ‘La Sole Meunière’, £59), but all reports are uniformly upbeat. Top Tip – “good-value fixed lunch menu with generous courses”.

With the passing of Joel Robuchon and closure of Covent Garden’s L’Atelier de Robuchon (RIP), this newish (late 2019) Mayfair venture is the main London torch-bearer for this famous French gastronomic name (see also ‘Le Deli Robuchon’ on Piccadilly, but it’s of no huge culinary ambition). The dining room – with a gorgeous marble bar running down one side, and tables with banquette seating down the other – is very fine and grand and already winning fans as a prime “business” choice. The luxurious modern French dishes are of high quality, with many echoes of L’Atelier (but perhaps a little simpler and less expensive), and a good proportion of early reporters acclaim this as their best meal of the year.

For 32 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
