From Barry Hirst’s Cubitt House group, this Marylebone yearling combines butcher, deli and steakhouse and serves from breakfast onwards. “It does what it says on the tin!” – a short selection of steaks, burgers and other fare offering “top quality meat at a decent price”: “given the location, this is great value, fun and quick”.

"The meat quality if Boxcar is excellent and they know how to cook the steak to perfection. After having been to a number of other steakhouses, this place definitely gets my vote"

"Steaks looked amazing in the chiller as you queue for your table. Despite the busy Christmas rush a table was easy to come by. It was no wonder that most of the punters selected the cheaper option of burger and chips. Our Rib eye for two was north of £54.00 and was pleasant enough. The pepper sauce had very little bite which is often required for a steak of this nature."
