“No duds on the fabulous menu” at Sarit Packer and Itamar Sruolovich’s “small-but-perfectly-formed” café, near Warren Street tube, where plate-lickingly-yummy Middle Eastern dishes (and you MUST leave space for a cake afterwards) are “made with love and served with a smile”. It’s “always very busy”, though, and you need to shoehorn yourself into some of the seats.
“It’s hard to get a table… and a tight fit if you do”, but Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich’s deceptively ordinary looking little Warren Street café punches well above its weight with its “amazingly friendly” service, and “exotic” and “sumptuous” Middle Eastern dishes – “a rare combination of simplicity and outstanding realisation”. “A gem for any meal between breakfast (al fresco!) and late dinner.”
“Food straight from the streets and markets of the Middle East” – “absolutely divine, regularly changing Israeli-inspired recipes with surprising twists on very simple dishes” (and, in particular, marvellous cakes) – has won impressive fame for this “delightfully friendly” Warren Street “hideaway”. Even some fans now admit however that “it’s on the expensive side considering that it’s more of a café than a restaurant” (and a mightily “cramped” one at that). Top Tip – “the breakfast mezze is enough for the whole day”.
“Unique, modern Israeli cooking” (“incredible food that you could eat over and over again”), together with “the most fantastic welcome” leaves you “surprised and smiling” at this cute café, near Warren Street. Be prepared to “cosy up” – it’s really “tiny”. Top Menu Tip – leave space for the “outstanding” cakes (the cheesecake is a “must-try”).
Honey & Co Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Disappointing given very good reviews. The room is small and completely nondescript. The food is fine but homely rather than refined. Menu is very short (too short) and pricing is completely nonsensical (single items in the mezze costing £9.50 for something nice but rather simple and very overpriced. Same for wine by the glass). This is making it very difficult not to overorder. Personnel is nice though. Not recommended overall"
"Excellent meal service very friendly but it is small and noisy "
"Lovingly cooked Middle Eastern dishes. Interesting flavours. Great cakes! Cramped and loud tho. "
"The food at this Middle Eastern cafe is very good but I have to add that it does not justify the prices charged. In fact I would dare to say that £37.50 for a starter and a main course is outrageous, given the lack of ambience and cramped seating with nothing but a paper table cloth."
