The cut-price surf ’n’ turf at this “fun, relaxed and reliable” operation “never fails” – “have a lobster roll as a starter, then a burger as a main”. Under the same ownership as the Goodman steakhouses, the London-based chain has consolidated to nine domestic branches plus the Smack lobster roll delivery-only spinoff, while expanding internationally in the US, Middle East and southeast Asia.
“Does what it says on the tin” – these bustling upscale diners no longer seem quite as novel as they once did but continue to offer “a winning combination of burger and lobster served at a reasonable price point”. Under the same ownership as the Goodman steak chain – from autumn 2018, the owners plan a new, more informal spin-off brand, ‘Shack by Burger & Lobster’, to be launched in Camden.
“For a straightforward, relaxed meal with a bit of pizzazz”, these “buzzy” joints maintain their massive popularity with a “simple” formula executed “with style”: “awesome lobster rolls” are “excellent value” – the burgers “are rather expensive, albeit well-executed”.
“If you have the lobster, it’s a top deal”, according to the massive fanclub of this “so simple, so well-executed” concept. “It’s less of a bargain for the burger”, but they’re “surprisingly good” too.
Burger & Lobster Restaurant Diner Reviews
"I like B&L but it’s not great value for money, food is nice but at £20 for a burger there is better value, same applies to the service, adequate but no more. That said, it’s a fun vibe and the quality is good"
