The star of our menu is mozzarella di bufala DOP, made in Campania and delivered to us at its freshest. Classic, smoked or creamy stracciatella mozzarella is a must-order, accompanied by small plates of Italian ingredients chosen for their flavour and quality. Our menu represents our culinary pilgrimage across Italy, where we find sweet datterini tomatoes, black truffles from San Miniato and culatello di Zibello, the king of salumi. We offer more substantial plates, too, using traditional dried pasta from Gragnano and slow-risen pizza dough made with nutty, stoneground Petra flour.
Obicà South Kensington is part of a small family of restaurants founded in Rome in 2004. They all serve fresh, simple Italian food, but South Kensington is special because of its stunning upstairs room (perfect for celebrations and meetings), its discreet glass-roofed room on the ground floor, and its popular pavement tables. Visit us for aperitivo in the sun, a relaxed, authentic Italian meal with friends, or just to taste our super-fresh mozzarella.

This Rome-based chain is inspired by Japanese sushi-bars and serves “tasty small plates of Italian food”. The five “efficiently run” London branches, from South Ken to Canary Wharf, provide a “surprisingly good experience… so long as you like mozzarella or burrata”.
Once called Obika, these ‘Mozzarella bars’ – part of an international chain – are “much better than many in the pizza and pasta market”, and are tipped for “grabbing a glass of wine with enjoyable small bites”.
