Tonkotsu – the “delicious, warming†ramen bar group from Ken Yamada and Emma Reynolds have added this Teishoku concept in a Japanese brasserie setting to their portfolio. Anzu sits in the new landmark destination of St James's Market alongside the likes of Veneta, Aquavit and Ole and Steen.
Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
Press reviews have not been kind to this Japanese brasserie in the luxe but unengaging St James’s Market development, and – though it did inspire the odd positive report – the low level of feedback it inspired from reporters gave insufficient confidence for a rating as yet.
From the owners of Tonkotsu – the ramen bar group – a new format: a Japanese brasserie, inspired by contemporary Tokyo dining, which is expected to open in St James’s Market in autumn 2016 (alongside a raft of other eateries, including Aquavit London and Duck & Waffle).
