Harden's survey result
“The queuing is now almost part of the trip” to the “frenetic-but-we-love-it” Holloway original: “a terrific local pizzeria that’s always packed” thanks to its “inventive, delicious chewy bases (including charcoal dough), generously finished off with a variety of flavoursome toppings”, and washed down with “great local beers”. Its sibling, north of Brook Green, is in a much less happening location, but already winning feedback as “a great addition to the area, with friendly staff; and where everything on the menu is fresh, and portions are generous”.
“The best charcoal base ever” is just one of the four dough choices on offer (including gluten-free, all slow-fermented for 48 hours) at this “brilliant” and “welcoming” pizzeria on Holloway Road. Its popularity means “door-side queuing, but we’ve learned to live with it”. Top Tip: “charcoal-based Andrea Pirlo (mozzarella, gorgonzola, apple, truffle and olive sauce)”.
“The best thing to happen around Holloway Road for some time!” – this “mega-busy” yearling, built around a “Dante-esque, wood fired oven”, takes “pizza into the realm of fine dining” with its “unique choice of vegetarian and easy-to-digest, 48-hour fermented doughs” and “perfect toppings”. “Remember to book, otherwise it’s hopeless”.
A new spot on Holloway Road, featuring (apparently) a unique-for-London selection of 48-hour, slow-fermented Italian pizza doughs. It opened too late for survey feedback, but the early word-on-the-street says it’s cracking.
