Opened in September 2021, the new project from Russell Norman, who left the Polpo group last year. Thanks to The Sunday Times critic Marina O'Loughlin for spotting the new Instagram name and truffling this one out. Norman confirmed the project and says that the trattoria "has a Tuscan accent" and that the food comes from the heart of Italy "where flavour is more important than favour".

"A busy place popular with the locals. That does mean that it is VERY noisy and sadly they push up the music volume to ride above. All to say not for a chat or for anyone who wants to protect hearing. Food is delightfully not standard Italian for them most part. The menu is generally simple but well executed. Although I did have tagliatelle with rabbit ragout which was past al dente and lacking much Rabbit. On the other hand the anchovy with sourdough was a perfect simple starter as both ingredients were special. Stews look good and tasty. Desserts are plain but very well executed again. Apple pie was amazing. Wine list is huge no bargains... NB Hard to find much without meat here, let alone vegan. No fish really. Overall, if you like the style it works. I can do better for the money and even hear my companions in other places! "
