For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.

Summary

The “wonderful rooftop location”, with “old London lit up all around and visible from all parts of the restaurant”, makes this an “excellent night-time venue”. “The food is first-class”, too, with a focus on rare-breed British beef, appropriate for the meat-market setting, while service is “attentive without being overbearing”. “With a little more care this has the potential to be really outstanding.”

Summary

“Great rooftop views” over the City make this an attractive location for business entertaining, with steak the appropriate focus for the Smithfield meat market setting. The catch? – it’s “expensive for what it is”.

Summary

“Fantastic views of the City” are a highpoint at this business-friendly rooftop destination, whose steak-focussed offerings have seemed “much more up-to-par” of late, and are generally judged “very good, if at a price”.

Summary

“Steak, steak, steak… and lovely views of St Paul’s” – the selling points of this business-friendly rooftop dining room, overlooking the City; as ever, though, it takes a fair degree of flak for being “overpriced and underwhelming”.

Super views over the meat market, St Pauls ...
Reviewed 1 months,

"Super views over the meat market, St Pauls and the City. Good venue for either lunch or dinner. Feels like it is not quite as good as it used to be in its heyday, but still served up some delicious steak. Knowledgeable and helpful sommelier. Service was pretty casual, but friendly."
