Hackney oenophiles make a beeline for these this ambitious pair – “I love the wine list!”. The Paradise Row venue, in a railway arch with a large terrace, features an Italian menu, while the Hackney Road wine bar serves snacks and charcuterie. In either case the food avoids criticism, but the liquid refreshment is the main event.
“A wine-lover’s haven, and the food’s good as well” at this “fantastic” Bethnal Green railway arch venue, by the couple behind the popular Hackney Road wine bar of the same name. “All the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable” – “not to mention the great wines available by the glass”, and “hearty, well-crafted British fare”.
“What a list! What a venue!” – the team behind Sager + Wilde have created a “fantastic” new space, in this Bethnal Green railway arch, where the focus is on a “brilliant and interesting wine selection” dominated by Californian vintages; the sharing plates? – a mite “unremarkable”.
