For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Steve Smith just gets better and better” – providing “stunning” flavour combinations that are “so light and clean” – at this acclaimed dining room: one of only 15 in the UK and Channel Islands to have five AA rosettes. There’s a good range of eating options, including “tasting menus to die for”, “memorable breakfasts”, “the most beautiful afternoon teas, with scones and Jersey Black Butter”; plus a “varied and interesting wine list”.
“The food here is at the top end of the excellent scale, and there’s great attention to detail in respect of everything” at Stephen Smith’s famous St Helier dining room, whose ambience received a much-needed boost a couple of years ago, making it a very strong all-rounder nowadays.
“A warmer, more intimate look is a big improvement”, at this famous St Helier dining room (which used to suffer from a rather “funereal” ambience). Given Stephen Smith’s “sensational”, much accoladed cuisine, fans say “the new décor is the final missing link in the push to make Bohemia seem stand-out special”.
Oddly mixed feedback of late from this celebrated St Helier dining room; most reports do support the view that Stephen Smith’s cuisine is “the best on the island”, but it’s pricey, and the experience can be tainted by staff who are “too impressed with themselves”, or “zero ambience”.
Steve Smith @ Bohemia has enjoyed a spectacular year being awarded the highest accolade by The AA and taking the restaurant to 5 AA Rosettes one of only 15 in the country. This news was swiftly followed by the retention of the Michelin Star as well as being listed in The Good Food Guide 2018 as the 11th Best Restaurant in the UK. Steve’s taste inspired menus offer something for everyone with set lunch menus available from £24.95 and six course tasting experiences starting from £45.00 per person.
