This traditional Italian newcomer (with a sibling in Riga) opened briefly in late 2020 with a second debut in May 2021. It occupies an impressive Edwardian (1902) banking hall in the heart of the Square Mile – the former telling room of the British Linen Bank (later Bank of Scotland). The dramatic columns and ceiling of the space remain and chef Aleksandr Sarujev is at the stoves. Early reports are very enthusiastic (but too limited in number for a rating).

For 31 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
