Shake-up at “Cambridge's best-kept secret” as former Ramsay chef Sam Carter and fiancée Alex Oliver takeover this elegant 22 cover restaurant. The pair plan to refurbish the restaurant which will reopen on 24 March. The diminutive venue, which also vaunts 14 seat private dining room, will offer a lunch time set and evening taster menu alongside an à la carte menu.
Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Cambridge’s best-kept secret!”, say fans of this elegant Victorian townhouse outside the centre, near Victoria Avenue Bridge – whose dining room offers a fixed-price monthly menu: “a continued delight”, which they hail as “wonderful in every way”.
Most (if not quite all) reporters “love everything” about this intimate riverfront villa with an elegant (prix fixe-only) Victorian dining room – particularly its “cosy atmosphere”, but also its “lovely service” and “creative” cooking.
“Though not exactly cheap”, this “unique” and “really intimate” restaurant, in a riverside villa outside the city centre, offers “sublime” food at times; the prix-fixe gives a “good choice” too... “just as well since it's the only menu available”!

"Great food - good staff. But- we had the private room upstairs that was, unfortunately, a little tired: both radiator and light fittings not in commune with the wall etc. Nevertheless, we had a very good evening."
