Harden's survey result
A candy-striped shack in a “super spot right on the beach” at Bracklesham Bay, with “a good selection of food plus wine & beer” – “with a strong emphasis as you’d expect on seafood”. Facing southwest, the bay is a perfect place to watch sunsets and kite-surfers.
“Right on the beach at Bracklesham Bay, with spectacular views of the Isle of Wight”, this shack-like, “bustling licenced café” (“dog-friendly, child-friendly” and with a “potbelly stove that makes it cosy even in gales”) is a “good family gaff”. Round off “unusual” breakfasts, or a meal of local fish with a “bracing walk on the beach”.
Overlooking the Isle of Wight, this Billy’s On the Road sibling is an “exceptional beachside restaurant (more of a large shack really)” combining “fantastic service and really good fresh food – mainly fish, as you’d expect”. It’s “the best place to pop into following a bracing seafront walk” – but you’ll want to book. Good breakfasts too.
A “beautiful position on the beach” overlooking the Isle of Wight helps make this a bright and airy three-year-old café (sibling to Billy’s On the Road) “well worth a visit”; “lovely breakfasts” are a big high point.
