Seafood shack pop-up for Mayfair

Bonnie Gull seafood shacks will be bringing a taste of the seaside to Mayfair this summer with a four-month pop-up oyster and seafood bar in Brown Hart Gardens, the raised public space on top of an old electricity sub-station off Duke Street.

Open from 8am for healthy breakfasts, eggs and London smoked salmon, and for healthy salads at lunchtime, the seafood bar will be at its best in the evening, with table service for sharing plates including a platter of Selsey crab, Cornish lobseter, Scottish langoustines, Cornish mackerell escabeche and beetroot-cured Loch Duart salmon. The pop-up runs from May 29 to September 30.

Bonnie Gull’s first permanent site in Fitzrovia is praised in the 2017 Harden’s Survey for its “casual, low-key appearance that belies the very tasty and sophisticated seafood”. A second site opened in Bateman Street, Soho, in December.
