Tom Sellers, of Bermondsey’s much-lauded Story restaurant, is to host a pop-up for punters with deep pockets aboard the Belmond British Pullman. Price of admission to journey on this train’s glamorous vintage carriages, and enjoy a bespoke seven course tasting menu with accompanying wines, is £495 per person.

Not your average dining car ham sandwich and plastic glass of wine, then.

Guests also get the chance to meet and chat with Tom and will be furnished with a signed copy of the menu. The train departs London Victoria at 6.30pm on Friday 10 October and arrives back at the station at 11.30pm.

British Pullman is hosting an array of award-winning chefs throughout the year. For more information call 0845 077 2222 or visit their website
