Edible insect pop-up Grub returns

Grub, the edible insects company, is back with its take on alternative eating for one night only in Hackney. After a sell-out run at Moniker’s in Hoxton Square during March, the pop-up restaurant returns on 25 April.

This time Grub will be at the Hothouse Rooftop in London Fields, serving up crickets, grasshoppers and mealworm with a Thai twist. The menu was developed by chef Seb Holmes (of the much-loved Begging Bowl). Dishes will be paired with signature cocktails from pop-up pros, Platterform.

Grub was started by two friends, Shami Radia and Neil Whippey, who are pioneering insect eating in the UK. You can find out more about Grub and live vicariously through our online editor, Karen Moss, as she sampled their wares. Read the full story here.

There will be two sittings for the Grub menu on 25 April, at 6.30pm and 8.30pm. Tickets cost £25. Book here.
