Tom Kerridge to open second gastropub

Tom Kerridge is to open a second gastroboozer in the picturesque Buckinghamshire town of Marlow this November. His new venture, to be named The Coach, will apparently be a ‘pared-down’ counterpart to his much-lauded Hand & Flowers (pictured).

It will be an all-day dining affair with a much more affordable menu than his original gastropub (well, that wouldn’t be difficult considering dinner comes in at around £77 per head). The kitchen will be headed up by the Hand & Flowers’s current sous chef Nick Beardshaw, serving a French-inflected British menu of 20-30 dishes, priced at £6-12.

Kerridge says the interiors will be styled after tapas bars with a 20-seater ‘L’-shaped bar where you can watch the chefs at work in the kitchen.
