Ibèrica’s Nacho Manzano pops-up at new Manchester outpost

Screenshot 2015-04-08 13.56.47Brilliantly named Spanish chef and founder of the Ibèrica group, Nacho Manzano, will take to the stoves at the recently opened Ibèrica in Spinningfields, Manchester, later this month. On 27 April, he will prepare a seven course tasting menu alongside group head chef Cèsar Garcia, paired with wines from Manzano’s restaurants in Asturias – Casa Marciel, La Salgar and Gloria Casa de Comidas.

This authentic Iberian evening kicks-off with an Asturian cider cocktail aperitivo reception and small dishes like: crispy cod skin with mojo rojo; rice and seaweed cake with queen scallop tartare and corn soufflé with smoked sardine.

Tickets are £100 per person. For reservations contact Blanca Villamandos on 020 7636 8650 or email: blanca@ibericarestaurants.com

Ibèrica, which has four sites already in London, has long been praised by our reporters for its authentic Spanish dishes. Even as the Ibérica group expands, standards have remained high, with self-professed ‘obnoxious scenester’ Marina O’Laughlin overcoming her general loathing of chains to heap praise on its Farringdon outpost in the Guardian.
