Tom Kerridge opens The Coach

Tom KerridgeTom Kerridge, the chef behind Michelin’s favourite gastropub Hand & Flowers, has opened his second Marlow venture. The restaurateur and his wife Beth launched The Coach this week – a more affordable, casual place to eat than its sibling which was placed 76 in the Sunday Times Top 100 restaurants (powered by Harden’s) this year.

Although Kerridge and his head chef, Aaron Mulliss, helped with menu development, it is the Hand & Flower’s current senior sous chef, Nick Beardshaw who will be doing the cooking.

The Coach offers dishes including: smoked haddock kedgeree and waffles with truffle honey in the morning and potted Cornish crab with cucumber chutney, moules Mariniere with warm stout and brown bread and whole rotisserie roasted stuffed quail for lunch and dinner.

The all-day 40-cover gastropub operates a no bookings policy and has kitchen counter seating (how very London!)
