Featured Croydon Restaurants
. Albert’s Table
British, Modern restaurant in Croydon
49c South End - CR0
Its a treat to find a first-class, and very smart restaurant in Croydon and one which fans say is the only place worth considering in this area; it comes highly recommended for its superior cooking at reasonable prices.
. Little Bay
Mediterranean restaurant in Croydon
32 Selsdon Rd - CR2
2016 Review: Its all about the ambience in these eccentric and outlandish theatre-themed bistros (just the right side of tacky); the foods not award-winning, but its so cheap and excellent for the price, there are never any complaints!
. McDermotts Fish & Chips
Fish & chips restaurant in Croydon
5-7 The Forestdale Shopping Centre Featherbed Ln - CR0
Tony McDermotts stalwart chippy is just simply the best for miles around; daily deliveries from the south coast ensure the fish is at its freshest, and its served in generous portions too. Shame about the scruffy location in a downtrodden shopping arcade, in the 'burbs, but that is the only complaint.
Burgers, etc restaurant in Croydon
99 George St - CR0
Delicious, dirty burgers have won fame and fortune for these dark and loud grunge-fests, but given the noise, hustle, and hard chairs theyre not a place to linger.
Japanese restaurant in Croydon
4 Park Lane - CR0
The UKs rising standard of Asian cuisine has outpaced these well-established noodle canteens, but for a fresh and reasonably healthy bite, with generous portions and reasonable prices armies of fans still say its a great format, and a staple with kids.
. Bukowski Grill, Croydon Boxpark
BBQ restaurant in Croydon
99 George Street - CR0
Good burgers, ribs, shakes and no vitamin C in sight pretty well sums up the appeal of this highly rated US-style mini-chain, with grills in Brixton, Shoreditch and Soho.
Italian restaurant in Croydon
57-59 Southend - CR0
2015 Review: Unexceptional and unsophisticated it undoubtedly is, but this pleasant kid-friendly pizza-n-pasta chain is still generally rated a useful, if unspectacular, standby.
Pizza restaurant in Croydon
3/7 South End - CR0
All outlets deliver great grub and a cheery ambience for as long as weve produced this guide, thats been the most common view on this amazingly consistent 50-year-old, chain, also renowned as a super place for kids (basically a crèche serving OK food!). Is that changing since Hony Capital took over last year though? Critics have found it more money driven of late, and the atmosphere in particular seems far less sunny than it did.
Portuguese restaurant in Croydon
26 High St - CR0
2015 Review: This peri-peri chicken chain does what you expect well-cooked chicken, delivered quickly and without fuss; it somehow feels less wrong than taking the little ones for a cheap burger!
