Vivat Bacchus EC4 – the City-fringe restaurant most celebrated for its selection of wines, particularly from South Africa, its range of cheeses and its amenable staff – is to open a South Bank offshoot, near London Bridge, reports caterersearch.com.

The new venture will comprise a 100-seat restaurant with a wine cellar and an outdoor terrace for up to 40 diners, and is expected to open in July.
