Michel Roux Jr – chef of Le Gavroche W1 – is to open a restaurant in Westminster, reports caterersearch.com.
The new dining room, to open to the public in September, is located within the impressive headquarters of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), overlooking Parliament Square and the Palace of Westminster.
The contract falls to Roux under the auspices of Restaurant Associates (RA), the fine-dining subsidiary of the Compass Group, which is taking over RICS’s catering more generally.
RA seems to make a speciality of dining rooms with views. Its other current fine dining outlet is (Gary) Rhodes 24 EC2, in the City building still known to many as the NatWest Tower.
