Following the opening of City-fringe Eastside Inn, details emerge of the forthcoming addition to the Galvin Empire. The City restaurant - as yet unnamed - will take over the St Botolph’s Hall in Spital Square, a currently unused former church hall.
The restored main hall will house a fine dining restaurant, which will be accompanied by a more contemporary bar area and an all-day café. According to Chris Galvin, the aim is to create a “democratic dining” space in which City workers and Shoreditch locals - two naturally separate species - will be accommodated.
The restaurant is set to open this autumn.
