Terroirs Triumphs

Perhaps it will be yet harder to get into our local wine bar, Terroirs, following last night's Drinking Out Awards, by Harper’s (the trade mag for Wines & Spirits).

Charing Cross’s increasingly legendary Gallic hotspot confirmed its ‘hero’ status in the eyes of the nation’s food & wine gurus, winning three of the top awards, as well as “Wine Personality of the Year” for its backer Eric Narioo (founder of Les Caves de Pyrene).

Harpers’ awards -- amusingly presented by Nigel Barden at the Soho Hotel -- are voted for by insiders in the trade (Masters of Wine, critics, and ‘drinks experts’ (we know a few of those...)
