The Sanderson hotel's former Spoon+ restaurant – in recent times the only London establishment associated with über-chef Alain Ducasse – was never a great success, critically speaking.
The space – adjacent to the Long Bar – has now been converted into a Malaysian restaurant by New York chef Zak Pelaccio. He is best-known for his involvement in 5 Ninth – a cosy cocktail bar-cum-restaurant in the ever more throbbing Meatpacking District, so, spiritually speaking, at least, he should feel right at home.
Suka is at the Sanderson, 50 Berners Street W1 (tel 7300 1444).
