NYC super-chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is recruiting for his new London opening. We are told his Spice Market concept is to open at the new W Hotel, in the heart of the West End, on St Valentine's Day 2011. It will further boost the gastronomic excitement in the area created by St John Hotel, due to open shortly just across the road.
Spice Market marks the third 'go' JGV has had at storming the capital. Vong, his first venture here, occupied the site which is nowadays Koffmann's. His venture at the St James's Casino, 50, closed about a year ago.
