Compared to the “modern, casual Indian food in stylish surroundings” already available in London, it feels like this “poor cousin” of the Cinnamon Club is simply “playing catch up”; “the shtick here is all-day Anglo-Indian dining” (think: Bangla-scotch eggs and Rojan josh shepherd's pie), but most of the food fails “to hit the high notes” and decor feels as if it's “trying-too-hard-to-be-trendy”.

This 2012 newcomer (just opposite King's Cross/St Pancras), is “a rare beast in that it's far nicer than you expect”; despite the “mismatched interior” and “graffiti-ed frontage”, “excellent home-baking” and a “terrific breakfast” means “there's a lot to like”.
