It’s fast looking as if the restaurant recession is happening anywhere in London, it’s happening in Hammersmith.
Sebastian Snow‘s long-established local restaurant Snow’s on the Green is currently a Marie Celeste of a restaurant, set up for service, but with a notice in the window saying that it is closed for an – oddly-timed – annual holiday.
Of course, we can’t positively know that this is a holiday without end. It’s odd, though, that the notice gives no indication of when normal service will be resumed… and both the phone number and the website are now inoperative.
We yesterday reported the closure of the nearby Brackenbury.
24.10.08 -- the website of Sebastian Snow’s new out-of-London venture, The Swan at Southrop states that the Snows have decided to quit London and work in Gloucestershire full time.
