Soho yearling Bob Bob Ricard has introduced a rather upmarket beat-the-recession deal, limiting its mark up on certain top wines to just £50. This can mean that they are available at a third of the prices demanded elsewhere in the West End.
The wines – from £175 and up – are still not exactly bargains in the normal sense, but we suspect oenophiles with something to celebrate will be queuing up. Although the food at Bob Bob Ricard is some way short of remarkable, the Art Deco-ish design offers a suitably whimsical setting for an extravagantly vinous dinner.
