First it was burgers, lobster and champagne that took London by storm (at Goodman's Burger & Lobster W1). Now, meet Bubbledogs – a Fitzrovia newcomer pairing hot dogs and champagne.
Alongside its select champagne list (starting at a reasonable-sounding £6 for a glass, and £26 a bottle), the menu features ten hot dogs, including such creations as the ‘BLT Dog’ (wrapped in bacon and served with caramelised lettuce and truffle mayo).
If you're not up for this unique pairing, Chef James Knappett (formerly of Marcus Wareing) will host special meals for up to 19 diners at a ‘Kitchen Table’, where sample dishes will include ‘Beetroot, fennel and garlic scapes’ and ‘Hay, strawberry malt and sweet cicely’.
Bubbledogs W1 is due to open in July at 70 Charlotte Street.
