EVENING OF COGNAC AND CANAPÉS

Think you know Cognac? Here’s a chance to challenge your preconceptions, and learn about making canapés too. Rémy Martin’s Coeur de Cognac brand is hosting a special event at Leiths School of Food and Wine, next Thursday 15 May, at 6pm, in conjunction with Homes & Gardens magazine.

Coeur de Cognac is a revolutionary new style of cognac from Rémy Martin (sponsors of our annual survey of restaurant-goers). Unlike traditional cognacs (flavours of fig, wood and dried fruits), Coeur de Cognac offers a ‘softer’ experience, with aromas of peach and apricot. Coeur de Cognac is designed to be served as an aperitif, on ice, and it will even complement food.

At the tasting, Leiths chef Celia Francis will demonstrate how to prepare a selection of canapés. In addition, Alex Quintin, the Rémy Martin Brand Ambassador, will give a tutored Cognac tasting and give guidance on how to match food with cognac.
