The latest addition to the Gordon Ramsay empire, the long-awaited Maze Grill, opens this Friday.

The inspiration for the Maze Grill is apparently the meat-restaurants of New York, so the use of the Maze brand is perhaps a little odd. The newcomer’s Mayfair location is indeed next to the original Maze W1, but chef Jason Atherton’s signature style there is more about grazing than about hunks of meat.

We hope the new concept works out, though – after recent upsets in its HQ city, the Ramsay group could do with having an unquestionably successful London launch on its hands.
