Well, it’s taken over a decade, but an offshoot of Paris entrepreneur Raymond Visan’s famous Buddha Bar will finally make its London début in June.
Details are still few but the newcomer – atmospherically located beneath Waterloo Bridge – is certainly not being undersold. “One of the most exciting and spectacular restaurant and bars in the capital”, it promises “a unique mix of innovative contemporary food, sexy interiors, chic staff and exotic world music, that will appeal to an international clientele”.
Is there no end, incidentally, to the Gallic invasion? This is the third report of some form of French incursion in the capital in as many weeks.
