Palm, a leading US steakhouse chain, founded in New York in 1926, is to establish its first foreign outpost in Belgravia this summer, reports catersearch.com. The London site has long been known as the home, in various incarnations, of Drones.
Though listed in the recently-published Michelin 2009, incidentally, Drones actually closed in doors in the summer of 2008. We noted the closure in our own 2009 guide, which went to press some five months before the French one. But, heh, as we’ve noted before, you can hardly expect the boys from Clermont Ferrand to know what’s going on somewhere as remote as central London!
PS (16 March) We’ve subsequently noted that that Drapers Arms, whose receivership we reported in August, is also listed.
