Rose Gray, co-founder with Ruth Rogers of Hammersmith’s world-famous River Café, has lost her long battle with cancer, age 71.
The restaurant achieved worldwide fame as the home of the eponymous cookery books, and also – unintentionally – as the launch pad for the career of Jamie Oliver.
