Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Very good Japanese options” are the distinctive feature at this “very popular hotel restaurant”, which serves “everything from coffee and breakfasts to afternoon teas… plus excellent sushi” to boot; while the odd sceptic finds the concept “muddled”, the majority insist that the food “never disappoints”, and that the venue is “good for people-watching at weekends”.
This “classy” hotel café and sushi bar “specialises in excellent Japanese food” but also has “good soup and sandwich combos at lunchtime”; “it can get quite expensive – lots of new money about, some of it related to football” – but on most accounts it’s “good value”, and it makes “a great place for people-watching”.
Located in a “trendy modern hotel”, this café and sushi bar is “doing things in style and to a very high standard”, be it an “excellent traditional afternoon tea” or “surprisingly good Japanese fare”.
A “trendy, modern hotel”, which serves up a “variety of dishes from sushi to Italian”; a “great venue for people-watching” too.
The Vincent Hotel V-Cafe Restaurant Diner Reviews
"I've eaten here a few times & really love the food, especially the afternoon teas, the gringo sushi (alternative to fish), the croque madame and the desserts. The sticky toffee pudding is amazing. The service is speedy and they always treat you well. It's also only £3 for a big bottle of water, which is very reasonable. Try the flaming smores board for a fun dessert. It's a pyramid of marshmallows that you can toast over a little naked flame they bring to your table, accompanied by delicious ice cream, chocolate & toffee sauces and hand-made cinnamon biscuits. The V-Cafe overlooks Southport's wonderful Lord Street and also has outdoor seating which is heated if you need it."
