Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“Still a good brasserie” offering “very French” and “very enjoyable” cuisine; it did, however, rub a few reporters up the wrong way this year – whether because it “tries too hard” to be Gallic (“couldn’t bear the corny, and noisy, accordion!”) or because the “wine prices are ridiculously high”.
A “real French restaurant with a great atmosphere”; while some insist that it has “upped its game over the year”, offering “more innovative” food, others claim it's “not as good as it used to be” and “needs to sparkle a little more”.
“Wonderful, authentically French atmosphere, staff who know their stuff, and great food”; now in its fourth decade, this Gallic staple pleases most reporters, though there has been the occasional report of “patchy” cooking of late.
