Harden's survey result
For 25 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. This year diners have submitted over 60,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK.
“At a former Victorian railway station in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside”, this unusually located restaurant “never disappoints with its good tasty food” (including “superb afternoon teas”).
“The good quality standard has not changed” at this “very popular family restaurant”, located in a restored Victorian railway station.
“Rural cooking with style!”; this well-established family-run restaurant is tipped for its “dependable” standards, including “good and well-presented” dishes in “generous” portions.
“Good food” makes this local restaurant a handy enough tip in a not over-provided area; it can sometimes seem a bit “pricey”, though.
Perkins Restaurant Diner Reviews
"I was a guest for lunch Wednesday 4th May, having eaten at Perkins over many years was very surprised to find that the portions are now very limited! My lamb was mostly grisle our host called the waitress over she agreed and left our table. She then returned and offered a fish dish. As this would have taken some time to prepare I would then be eating alone as the other members of the group had almost finished their main dishes. When my plate was cleared I requested that it was shown to the Chef. Alas he did not appear or the Manager. It was only after we left the restaurant that I was informed by another guest that Perkins had ignored the poor lamb dish supplied and made no deduction on the bill. Alas this is what happens when management feel they are so successful they don't need to give customers due consideration. Perkins is now at the bottom of my to dine at list!"
